Peter Frampton (born 22 April 1950 in Beckenham, Kent) is a British musician, best known today for his solo work in the mid-1970s as an "arena rocker". He originally became famous, however, as a member of The Herd and became a teen idol in Britain. He then worked with Steve Marriott (of the Small Faces) in Humble Pie, as well as on albums by Harry Nilsson, Jerry Lee Lewis, and George Harrison. His solo debut was 1972's Wind of Change. He gained international fame in 1976 when his much-loved live album, Frampton Comes Alive! was released.

Love Stands Alone Lyrics

Peter Frampton

Verse 1
cant find no shelter
comin out of the pain
hurt my self bleeding
against the drain
see this deep risin
out of the home
must be the exits
the one in my soul

(Chorus)
doesnt matter
doesnt matter to her
doesnt matter
if i had her i would give her the world
doesnt matter
love stands alone
love stands alone
doesnt matter no

Verse 2
once i was captured
by the fire in her eyes
now when i look i see the white of her lies
my spirit is leaving
i see her light
it can be heaven with her still inside

*Chorus*

(Ending verse)
doesnt matter
doesnt matter to her
doesnt matter
if i had her (if i had her)
i would give her the world
doesnt matter
love stands alone
love stands alone
love stands alone
love stands alone
doesnt matter no
doesnt matter (doesnt matter)
doesnt matter to her (love stands alone)
doesnt matter
love stands alone
if i had her (if i had her)
i would give her the world (love stands alone)
doesnt matter
doesnt matter no...
